Our primary focus is on introducing Young Sporters to the basics of football. This includes fundamental skills such as kicking, dribbling, passing, and basic ball control.
Activities in a Reception & Year 1 football class are designed to be fun and engaging. Play-based learning is essential at this age to keep children interested and excited about the sport.
We introduce more formalised football rules appropriate for their age. This might include concepts like goalkeeping and the basics of fair play.

At this stage, we build on the basic football skills introduced in earlier years. Focus on refining techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic defensive skills.
We introduce small-sided games to encourage more active participation and involvement of all players. This helps develop teamwork and strategic thinking.
Provide opportunities for both individual skill development and teamwork. Emphasise the importance of communication, cooperation, and understanding each player's role within the team.
